This is an enjoyable craft for children of all ages. These Life Savers Valentines crafts has a little surprise in store for a loved one!


Life Savers Valentine Card


Materials:                                                


  • White cardboard 12" by 18" (30 cm. by 45 cm)
  • Pink, purple, and red construction paper
  • The strip of hearts template
  • Crayons or felt pens
  • Scissors
  • White glue or rubber cement
  • A roll or package of Life Savers
  • A stapler
  • A stapler remover
  • Clear tape
  • Double-stick tape

Method:


  • Download the template for Life Savers Valentines Crafts.

  • Staple the strip of hearts template to red construction paper and cut them out together.

  • Remove the staples carefully and discard the template.

  • Or, trace the template onto red construction paper and cut it         out.

  • Bend the two tabs on either side of the strip of hearts under.

  • Fold the white cardboard 12" by 18" (30 cm.by 45 cm.) in half to     make a card.

  • Decorate the cover with "Happy Valentine's Day" and hearts cut      from red, purple, and pink paper.

  • On the inside of the card, tape the roll of Life Savers to one side of the card.

  • Decorate the card with felt pens and hearts cut from red, purple, and pink paper.

  • Glue the tabs on each side of the strip of red hearts (from the        template) on either side of the fold so that the hearts "pop up"       when the card is opened.

  • Be sure to sign the card.





Life Savers Rocket


This Life Savers Valentines Crafts is a rocket that can be given to friends on Valentines' Day. It is easy to make for any age and the kids love them!

Materials:


  • One roll of Lifesavers per rocket
  • Colored construction paper, including yellow
  • Pencil
  • Ruler
  • Tape
  • Felt pen

Method:


  • Measure and cut a piece of construction paper in a rectangle, 6" by 5" {15 cm. by 12 1/2 cm.}, any color.

  • Wrap the roll of Life Savers in it and tape it in place.

  • Wrap it so the paper extends beyond the roll of Lifesavers.

  • Cut 4 slits down to the roll of Lifesavers from the top of the           cover.

  • Form a point at the top of the rocket, cut off about 1/2" {1 1/4      cm.} of it and tape it into the point.

  • Print "Have A Blast!" on the rocket and sign the child's name.

  • Draw a circle 2" {3 cm.} in diameter on yellow construction paper.

  • Cut it out.

  • Cut one slit from the edge to the center.

  • Roll into a cone and tape to the top of the rocket, over the point.

  • Use yellow construction paper to cut "flames" and tape to the        inside bottom of the rocket.

Variations:


  • Make red rockets for boys and pink for girls.

  • Write "Fly Me To The Moon!" instead of "Have A Blast!"

  • Use as place cards at a party.

  • Hint: Your child doesn't have to write a child's name on each one, just have enough to hand each person one with your child's name on it.
