Fish Mobile


These free printable preschool paper crafts includes a fish mobile and a penguin and they are easy to make. The children may need help taping the small fish to the big fish.


Materials:                                                 


  • 1 paper plate per child
  • Precut 1 small fish 1.5" by 2.5" {3 3/4 cm. by 6 1/4 cm} from another paper plate or lightweight Cardboard
  • Crayons
  • Dental floss 
  • Tape
  • Pair of Scissors

Method:


  • Adults draw the fish's mouth onto the plate and the child cuts it out.

  • Teach the child how to cut inward from the outside rim of the paper plate.

  • The child draws the fish's eye, scales. Do the same on the little fish.

  • Adults tape the tail to the big fish.

  • Adults tape the dental floss to the small fish and the big fish so that the small fish is in the big fish's mouth.

This is a simple, free, printable preschool paper craft for use with a bird theme, a winter theme, or a seven continents theme for older children.


You can turn the penguin into a hand print craft by replacing the wings with 4 hand prints traced onto a piece of black construction paper.



Materials:


  • The two templates, feet/beak and head/wings, printed out.
  • Crayons
  • One paper plate per project
  • Black construction paper
  • Glue
  • Tape, regular and double-sided
  • Brads (optional)

Method:


  • Download the template of the feet and beak 

  • Download the template of the head and wings 

  • Color the penguins' tummy black, his feet orange, and his eyes and beak.

  • Cut them out. Adults may need to help with this.

  • Cut out his head.

  • Glue the beak and eyes on the head.

  • Glue the tummy onto the paper plate, at the bottom.

  • Tape on his feet.

  • Cut two wings out of black construction paper, using the  template as a pattern.

  • Tape and/or glue the wings to the body.

  • You can use brads instead of glue to attach the wings if you want them to be moveable.

  • You can use 2 hand prints on each side, cut out of black construction paper for wings if you wish.
