Candy Crafts

• 1 egg white
• 3 drops lemon juice 
• 175g (330ml) icing sugar, sifted
• coloring and flavoring (optional)

• Mix egg white and lemon juice in a bowl.

• Add sifted icing sugar in spoonful and mix until icing holds its shape.

• Color and/or flavor if desired.

• Seal bowl tightly until needed or the icing will dry out.

• 100g (125ml) butter or margarine
• 250g (500ml) icing sugar
• 10ml vanilla essence 
• A little milk

• Flavor with vanilla essence and add a little milk until a soft icing consistency is reached.

• Ice-cream cones
• Round biscuits 
• Ice-cream wafer biscuits
• Jelly tots or M&M's
• A piping bag filled with royal icing.

• Fill the cone with small sweets and secure it with Royal icing onto a biscuit.

• Pipe small stars round the base of the cone.

• Cut an ice-cream wafer in half, lengthwise and stick the two parts crosswise to the cone, to form the windmill vanes.

• Attach to the cone with Royal icing. See picture.

• Finish off with a jelly tot or M&M where the two wafers cross.

• M&M's or other sweets can be used to decorate further.

• Smarties or M&M's

• Cut off the tip of the cone and set aside.

• Cover the large rim of the cone with royal icing and stick onto the round biscuit.

• Affix a marshmallow to the smaller open tip of the cone, or  stick a round lollipop into it.

• Decorate the lollipop's face and hair with royal icing.

• The tip of the cone (cut off earlier) can be stuck on top as a hat.

• Decorate further with smarties or M&M's.

• Butter icing
• Sequins (optional)

• Stick the cone to the round biscuit with royal icing.

• Slit the wafer biscuit diagonally and stick three fins against the cone with royal icing.

• Decorate the rocket further using butter icing in a piping bag.

• Sequins can be pressed into the butter icing around the edges of the fins.

• 2 cookie cups
• Round biscuit
• Butter icing
• Sweets
• Small marshmallows
• Vegetable coloring

• Now stick the second cookie cup upside down onto the first at a slight angle to form an open mouth.

• Fill the mouth with sweets.

• Make eyes with the marshmallows.

• Decorate around the bottom with butter icing using a piping tube.

• Ice-cream cone
• Royal icing
• Round biscuit
• Marshmallow
• Butter icing

• Also cut off a small circular strip to be used later for the cup's    handle.

• Stick the top section of the cone on top of the round biscuit using Royal icing.

• Do the same for the 'handle' of the 'cup'.

• Place the marshmallow inside the cup and decorate with butter icing around the edge.

• Cookie cup

• Spread butter icing on the round biscuit and smooth.

• Place the cookie cup up side down on the top.

• Decorate the edge of the cookie cup and tie a bow around the  hat.

• Place a flower in the bow.

• Coloring
• Paper doily
• Fine brush

• First make a hat for the doll as explained above.

• Cut off a inch (20mm) strip from the top of the cone and           discard.

• Stick the remaining part of the cone onto a round biscuit, cut side down, using royal icing.

• Stick the marshmallow at the top of the cone for the head.

• Decorate all around the neck with butter icing using a piping tube.

• Use two round sequns for eyes, and paint on the nose and mouth with a fine brush and vegetable coloring.

• Allow to dry.

• Place hat at a jaunty angle on the doll's head.

• Cut paper doily to size as a frill around the doll's body.

• Butter icing

• Fill the cookie cup with brightly colored sweets.

• Make a handle for the basket with a strip of licorice.

• Stick it on with royal icing.

• Decorate the edges of the basket with butter icing.
